swapping TT auto tranny with stock TT ECU into NA???

678 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  SuperRunner
Well, I at first thought I was stuck with purchasing the $1800 AEM EMS in-order to control the TT auto tranny I plan on swapping into my MKIV na-t auto. What I thought about recently is if its possible instead of buying the AEM, picking up the stock TT auto ECU, if that would work instead of the AEM??? Anybody done this, or know if it would work?? ALso, anything else I would need to do this, or if its even cost effective to do that??
Thanks,
Greg

You'd need an auto TT engine harness as well (even with AEM). That in turn would require a TT engine. I'd just build the n/a auto if I were in your shoes.
dont see why it wouldnt work its all TT merchandise.
sorry your right chevyeater the harnesses are diffrent
you also need a driveline, but I don't know if there is a direct replacment. Seems the N/A uses a smaller flange.

I am still trying to figure this one out myself. I just put in a TT tranny in my N/A but have not driveline.
