So they are going for about $40k or thats all they would give you on the tradein?

I am a firm believer that used cars will always be worth crap compared to new if new car prices continue to stay as low as they are relative to upgrades, etc. The reason nobody wants your G500 is plain and simple, they know MBZ is designing a new one to appease them dropping another $80K+. Nobody wants a $40k car with mileage that is going to cost them $20k to fix if it breaks substansially while out of warranty.
