Dumb newb question:

I took my tail lights off to be replaced and noticed that one one side there was a black rubber tab with a washer on it. I looked on the other side of the body and noticed there was just bare metal.

I doubt it affects anything, but are there mounts on the body that sit in between the tail lights and the bare metal? I checked the service manual but I can't find them.

Wonder if I can order new ones if they exist.

Thanks

They come off, and aren't a part of the body. They are probably just pressed on to one side after being stuck on the car so long. If one side is missing, either they weren't there since you had the car, or they have fallen off on the underside of the bumper. They are metal, so you can use a magnet on a string to get them out if you can see them. Yes, speaking from personal experience after having dropped them there.

I know exactly what your talking bout. They really arent needed for install unless you're that anal about small stuff, they fall off as they are held by glue

Okay, glad I'm not the only one.

Although I'm anal about the car, unless I can order it from Curt I think I'll let it slide. Is there a P/N for it that you know of?

And I've got to say: 94RZ, that's a beautiful sig! I've seen that around the forums but didn't have the chance to tell you. Is there a full pic of it somewhere?

Yeah, I like it. It's from a magazine shoot with a Vette and a Supra. I cropped it a few years ago. I don't have the original though.

As for the washer and rubber, if you ask Curt I'm sure he'd be able to track it down for you. I wouldn't worry too much though. Remove both sides, save weight, performance mod. :)
