Aloha,
Since my Supra was stolen I got a 240sx hatch. Im changin from highway racer to more of a drifter and need to have a good suspension set up....bla bla bla..well ne way.

I really like the Teins but i have heard that they rust easy and being in Hawaii that is not a good thing and would happen very fast due to the fact that i live 3 mins from the ocean. Does any one have any experience with the Teins? How do they preform? Were they worth the money?

I was also looking at the APEXi coilovers, not the N1s but the world challenge ones. Anyone know anything about them? Thanks guys..

I have TEINS and hang out at Jax Beach all the time. I am yet to see any rust. Its personal preference. They all work the same...

Matt,
What the hell are you talking about? You know exactly where I live, and do you see any rust on my Tein HA coilovers? I don't know where you're getting your information buddy, but I agree with Vetkilr. You can take a look for yourself when I get back for Christmas break.
Parts...I paid $2700 for the following items:

Tein HA w/pillow ball mts.
HKS Super Dragger
Apex Super AFC
Install Fee included

I really don't know how much I paid for them. I was so fed up with the performance shop I used because they had my cash for over three months and no products. I was just happy to get all the items mentioned above. Contact [email protected] MOTORSPORTS.com because they have the cheapest prices around.
I was thinking about building a 240sx with SR20DET swap, but since Super Street has been jocking that shit currently, expect to see alot more people running around with that stuff, and prices to go up...like Honda Swaps...Snag an SR20 while you can get them farely cheap. Hmmm..>RB26DETT in 240...has it been done?

BTW, I hear the TEIN's Own...

Supposedly JUN has a kit that includes things to let a rb26dett in a 240sx. I know there is a place that has dropped a rb20det into a 240sx and I think right now they are working on a rb25det swap. The thing about doin an rb26dett swap is that it is hard to get the motor w/o the useless AWD Tranny. You would also need an oilpan from a rb25det if you wanted to swap in an rb26dett. Its a lot of trouble, but damn the result would be sweet:eek:.

Thats sleeper and a half...

So basically, We'd probably need the following:

Custom Mount Kit
Custom Driveshaft
RB26DETT Motor
RB25DET Transmission
Various RB25 Parts

Not to Mention I wouldn't even undertake this if I couldn't drop a Built Motor and a Big Ass Snail in there...(SP70).

I'm fucking drooling right now, alittle less then when I saw that 2JZ-GTE in the FD3S.

God I love Hybrids.

Suprdave - Needs to learn more about Nissans.

Check out the 240sx forum on www.Freshalloy.com Search around for the rb series of motors. Its been talked about a lot, but there aren't many that have experience with the swap.

I duno.. i dont really worry about the prices going up cuz i have a lot of friends in Japan and i can pick um up for dirt cheep no matter if they get to $10,000 and engine here. My friends got an RB26 in his 180sx but thats in Japan. Seems I saw a good handful of RB swaps in 180s and silvias when i was there last year. Ill check again in Janauary.
