ok I feel dumb asking this but i am almost done reassembling my motor but I cannot figure out how to get the drive belt back on. I have an auto and for the life of me how do I loosen the tensioner so I can slide the belt back on and tighten it back up??

Turn the drive belt tensioner clockwise and you should be able to slide the belt over the tensioner.

Put a wrench with an extension on the nut in the middle of the pulley, that is how you move it out of the way.

I use a pry bar shoved thru the bracket.

ok i have read to turn it clockwise but the only thing that I can turn is the silver partr taht spins..what part exactly to you turn clock wise??

Put the wrench/socket onto the nut in the middle of the pulley, then turn CW and the entire pulley arm will turn CW and allow you to slip the belt on

Yep. Once you do it you're going to kick yourself, because it's that easy. You should get a FSM for yourself. It describes this technique in it.
