I read the thread. Give me a bit to think about it. Sounds like you have an electrical problem and I'd guess it might be something like the cam position sensors. If the harnesses on those sensors aren't tight it will do exactly what you are describing!

Thanks, I appear to have plenty of time . The reason i am not jumping on some of the solutions posted elsewhere is the fact that the behavior has occured three time, under known problem conduitions, and then EVENTUALLY, corrected itself. I hate to tear the car apart, if it is a "hyper active, overly invasive ECU". Any feed back is certainly appreciated. i have reset the ECU, so once the MI comes on again I will try to pull codes. I do not seem to be able to find the tech article on pulling codes w/out a reader, can you tell me how, or give me a link? Thanks again. carl

I think it may be a small boost leak, I can hear the stock BOV venting to atmosphere. comments?
