Hell from last years run it almost seemed like he had even more than 11mph left in that car. Wonder if they were still going easy this time as well.

Isn't there still another day? Nice results so far. He flew past Eddie Bello and a couple of TT Vipers.

Yeah, baby!

How's 222 mph for Tommy Banh!!!! Climbed into second place behind a LIGHT-weight race car. A 21 mph gain year over year is nothing short of fantastic. Come on, Tommy!

222mph! that is just awesome and 1mph short of a TT viper, makes that car look bad lol

damn nice job all who are involved..what kind of power is the autobanh supra putting down?

I would think there are a few supras on this site capable of 230ish :agreed:

Okay, here's the last update from Peter. Tommy will not be running tomorrow:

1. SVS Viper Twin-Turbo: 223 MPH;

3. AutoBanh '98 MKIV Supra: 222.3 MPH (formerly third place at 212 MPH);

2. Heffner Ford GT Twin-Turbo: 222.2 MPH (formerly 215 MPH);

4. Eddie Bello (!) Porsche 993(?): 210 MPH;

5. Viper GTS Twin-Turbo (Mike): 205 MPH;
SRT10 Twin Turbo: (205 MPH) (formerly 199.6 MPH)

7. Ford GT with bolt-ons: 199.8 MPH;

8. Evo 700: 185 MPH;

9. '07 C6 Z06 with H/C package: 178 MPH.

This is, without a doubt, the closest Texas Mile competition in history. It looks like the Ford GT Twin-Turbo is coming back tomorrow so see if he can take down the SVS Viper Twin-Turbo for first place. No word yet on whether the SVS car is coming back as well.

Tommy had a great set-up for in-car and outside the car vids so, like last year, I am sure it will top-notch very exciting stuff. Hip, hip hurray for Tommy and the AutoBanh crew. An amazing effort for a car that just very recently came together from what I am told.

Tommy finished in second for the day. The SVS (2000 HP they claim) TT Viper ran 223, Tommy ran 222.3 and the Ford GT TT ran 222.2

Tommy and I think that the GT has atleast 225-230 in it (as does Tommy's car), so we MIGHT go back tomorrow. I will let ya'll know.

WOW! Congrats guys. Be safe! I hope he does a full write up on the car sometime so we can see what he has in it. That is just incredible for a 9 year old car and a 15 year old design.
