Hmm.. currently we have registered:
Dylan Savage ('94 TT BPU)
Roger Fong ('9x TT BPU)
Andi Baritchi ('98 TT BPU)

Currently thinking of coming:
Jordan (WRX)
Tiem (SC Camry)
Eric (T78 Rx7)
Vivek ('97 TT BPU)

This is going to be a full weekend of road racing at Texas World Speedway for only $250. More track time than you could ever want.. instructors for the beginners.. corner workers and flaggers.. etc.. generally a very safe and well organized event.

Who else is interested in coming?

Let me know..btw, the entry form is at: http://www.boostaholic.com/tmp/TWSform.jpg

and more information on TWS Motorsports Club events can be found at: http://www.texasworldspeedway.com/msc.htm

Yes.. don't you read your tx-mkiv mail? :)

He bought a very nice world rally blue WRX... I can't wait to see some coil-overs and a 350hp turbo on that car..

Why did he sell his mkiv to get a WRX? I hope he doesn't mind watching you guys drive off into the distance at TWS. :) Shiv from SCC and another guy who are going to race one wheel to wheel had it out at Thunderhill a couple of months ago, and it wasn't very fast. It was on street tires and stock suspension etc. etc. but I believe even a Miata in attendance was passing it. It doesn't get much lower than that. :)

Eric,

Jordan and his wife were blessed with a brand new little baby girl a few months ago.. so he now has a WRX with a baby seat in the back.

P.S. I don't really believe in anectotal evidence of road course superiority.. Shit, I saw a Miata beat some Vipers at the Texas Triathlon.. IMHO in road racing it's 70% driver and 30% car.. And Jordan can DRIVE.

That makes sense then. I had to use my mkiv for daily use with a car seat for about a month and a half after my daily driver was totaled, and it got old very quickly.

Ordinally I'd agree with you because I've seen similar things happen many times, but the guy what was driving the WRX has lots of wheel to wheel experience and knows what he's doing. I'm not a WRX basher by any means. I'd actually like to get a wagon as a daily driver, but it wasn't very impressive in stock form on a racetrack. If you and Dylan aren't passing him easily at TWS, you guys need to drive faster. :)

Alas, you're probably right.. driver is very important.. but there is probably too much difference between a BPU supra and a stock WRX, especially on a horsepower track like TWS. It'll be a fun weekend, that's for sure.

You're just lucky you're not talking about an S2000 - I heard those turn 1:47's at Laguna Seca, beating all supras. The balance and swiftness of those cars are unmatched, and I for one fear the day that I meet up with one on the track. The thought of being passed by something that sounds so much like an F1 car just scares the crap out of me.
