the best tire and wheel combination

OK so once and for all what is the best setup for the supra wheel and tire setup for the front and the rear in 17 and 18 inch wheels. This means a 315 tire in the back on 17's and on 18's. The Advan tires are not easily available in 18's in the 315 width. What offsets are the best and what tire sizes work with these offsets. I want to get a set of rims but my main concern is in the amount of rubber in contact with the pavement. I will shop for rims after I know the sizes and offsets that work the best.
