Weather is clear and cars are ready for battle so it is time to strike while the iron is hot for the Texas Jam this weekend on Saturday, September 29th, 2007.

Schedule:

Houston Caravan: Leaves Houston Saturday morning at 8:00am sharp. Please see this thread for details. I will hand out packets in the morning with directions, important phone numbers, addresses of all the important locations, and more.

Make hotel reservations in advance here: Best Western. 3920 Boat Club Road
Lake Worth, Texas. 76135-3201. Phone: 817-238-1199. Contact: If she is there, speak to Katie. Group Code: "the Texas Jam." We have a block on 10 rooms. Room rates should be $69.00.

For attendees already in the DFW area, BDJS Racing (see address in picture above) will host a morning meet at their shop before heading over to Dynosaur Performance for the competition. At 3pm we will strap down the first car at Dynosaur Performance. 5 cars from the Dallas/Fort Worth area and 5 cars from Houston will alternate spinning the dyno. Highest cumulative power wins the competition and trophies. This year we have one slot reserved on the DFW dyno roster for Austin. The primary sponsor for the event is Dynosaur Performance, who is letting all of the contenders spin their cars for F-R-E-E. In addition, Dynosaur Performance has reconfigured their dyno to read 1,500rwhp just for this event. You can expect to see a wide diversity of cars contending for their hometowns ranging from Vipers, Corvettes, Camaros, Supras, and cars with wicked motor swaps. Additionally, we will give out Texas Jam t-shirts for F-R-E-E while they last.

We will crown the winning team around 8ish and head out for a group dinner and night meet after that. Sunday morning after breakfast we can roll out back to Houston.

This is the only event of its kind so make sure to come out and support your hometown heros. Pill up, boost up, and get ready for a gross display of power at the Texas Jam 07' Power Competition.

Cost: Dynosaur Performance and Phillips Research and Engineering will provide the dyno pulls for F-R-E-E. Your cost will be the cost of travel, food, and accommodation.
Wow - Very nice!

This will definately be a fun and great meet!

If BL, Justin, and yourself are willing to bring what it takes to the table for a tri-city power competition let me know.

TOPEND: See you at the meet.

FYI: I have been getting some PM's about various accounts on HPD. Here is the story - the HPD server crashed for about a week (5/1 - 5/7). Everything posted after 3/7/07 along with profiles and profile changes were lost. The entire Texas Jam forum was wiped out too. So, we had to start posting about the Jam from scratch again. So if things appear a little goofy on the site don't worry - it's under control now - just log back in and keep the momentum going :bigok:

Well then you might have a chance ;)

Seriously though, we focus on street cars. This meet is designed with more in mind than just having shops dyno their track cars. The May 26th is already set with regard to media, funding, and so on. However, an Austin event is possible this year. Chris, I will call you to discuss further.

I believe Ross dynoed his car last year, I believe he ran in the same class as us at T2k7, so what are you saying. Sounds to me like everyone is scared if Austin shows up.
