it depends on how low you are

80ssuprapowa has 255 fronts and doesnt rub

my car is lower then his and 245 fronts do rub the top of the fender when going up driveways at full lock

The wider you are, the higher you will have to be to not rub.

i had a 7.5inch wide rim on the front of my car that was 45 offset, and it looked really bad. tucked way too far in. why do you say that you want a 45 offset if mine didn't fit at all?

Offset is measured from the centerline of the wheel as if you split it in half looking at it from the end.
45 offset on a 7.5" tire will leave a whole lot less wheel to the outside of the centerline than it would on a 9.5" wheel.
