I'm gonna be doing the 2j Water Pump on monday and figure i'm gonna change the timing belt too. I'm not to familiar with the 1j and was wondering if changing the T-Belt is a real challenge. Also I wanna put in HKS cam gears but am not sure on the way to do it. Do they just unbolt and I throw the new ones in and set it to zero or is there a bunch of stuff I gotta do to put them in?

Thanks for the help.

It's easy...

Yeah, its real simple. Just take off the cam gears and put on the HKS ones. Make sure you get the new re-designed HKS cam gears. The older ones would eat away at the timing belt slowly. In any case, make sure the cam gears are at zero and lined up and then run the belt on over nice and tight. I have seen horsepower advantages on stock cams and just playing with the timing.
