What's up.. well i don't really come on here often but i've been on the mk3 list since 96 and the MKIV list since 99 (or so) so some of you guys (plus the locals) might know me. I'm in miami and currently converting my 95 NA into a TT and damn what a project. I have the TT oil pump and in the toyota manual it shows a little plate (timing belt plate) that goes on the bottom driver's side of the engine, bolted into the oil pump. What's the purpose of that and do I really need it? my NA oil pump didn't have it, and the thing is I want to drop the engine in sunday (Mar. 31) or monday and if i have to get that plate it's gonna be on backorder so it's gonna be a while before i even get it. Can i do without it? by the way please write me at [email protected] also, since i don't know if i'll see the posts here soon enough. Thanks!

Tony 88 NA, 95 (almost TT), 97 TT
