Does the Timing of the car change when it is under boost? for example... My car is mis-firing on the #1 cylinder..replaced plug, injector, coil, wire, everything is geting power, pulseing...but I noticed that as soon as the car is under any amount of positive boost, it runs perfectly fine..and as soon as i hit vac it runs like crap.

Just wondering if somehow it could be timing.

Thx in advance

i dont think that timming would affect just one cylinder. i would do a compression test. that sounds like a there is a different problem.

My 1J would break up under part throttle, but not under boost.
I replaced all the coil packs cuz they were cracked a little and arcing out. that fixed most of it , but still broke up a little. I replaced 2 of the coil pack plugs and that fixed it.
So I would recheck the coil packs and check the spark plug wires.

o sorry, also did a compression test and it's 140 so, that's fine.

My turbo is also blown to hell...Still boosts properly and still holds boost properly, but it smokes like all HELL. i'm thinking that probably has something to do with it. Gonna replace that, but that won't be for a few days because i need a new gasket for the oil release flange
