Hi guys,

So I will be installing a Titan or Boost Logic Auto Transmission w/3800 stall in my friends 92 Aristo. I have been searching for information on this... mainly regarding possibly driveshaft issues but haven't really found anything.

My questions are...
- From people who have owned either of these transmission, what was your experience? and which would you recommend? (if used both)
- For the Aristo will a different driveshaft have to be used? If so which one?
- Is there any differences in the Aristo transmission to the standard Supra Auto transmission?
- Other than the transmission what is all needed for this swap?

The last question I can likely answer by contacting Titan or BL directly but they are closed for the weekend and I am trying to get as much information as possible this weekend.

Your help is greatly appreciated!

Regards,

Braden

The ariso trans is the same as the US trans besides the rear output shaft (and DS Flange). The nose of the outputshaft is missing on a MKIV TT trans. I think its only purpose is to center the driveshaft with the output shaft to eliminate vibrations. So you MIGHT be able to get away without it just be carefully centering the driveshaft when tightening it up. Or you could go to a local shop and have them remake your front piece of your driveshaft with the MKIV 4 bolt flange.

To answer your questions, I love mine and would highly recommend it. My old trans had a mushy 1-2 shift I know was causing me to lose time at the track and wearing out the transmission faster. I'm still on the Stock ECU so normal daily driving shifts aren't horrible, but aren't buttery smooth, IMO Very tolerable (same as stock clutch vs 6 puck Heavy duty clutch, tolerable for Daily driving, but not silky smooth).
