This is with stock tires. Bigger tires will make your top speed higher in each gear of course.
Fontana opens the weekend of 12/13 January. I plan to be there on the 12th.Jonathan S said:
Thanks for the #s. I'm running 285s in the rear now and should be seeing similar speeds in each gear.
I always wondered why the Supra's redline was 6800 but shifting at 7000 always seemed best.
I did get alot of my problems resolved, a few more minor things and my car will finally be 100%. None of which affect performance, except the possibility of a faulty EGCV actuator
Anway, do you know when Fontana is opening, and do you plan on making a trip down there when they do? I still have yet to run my car at the track and I'm glad I skipped the Famoso drag dag (Carlos with the white 98TT said you were getting a little "frustrated" at the track).
Let me know when you'll be down at either Carlsbad or Fontana and I'll try and make it out.
Those are from my dyno, but Andi B.'s calculations are the same for his car. I doubt +/- 100 rpm is really critical anyways.Jonathan S said:
Did you calculate those shift points from your own dyno chart?
Am I shifting at lower RPMs in higher gears because the turbos are out of their maximum efficiency range after that RPM in those gears?
