Maury (Spool) has used it. If I'm not mistaken he ran ~115mph at Vegas using it, no way he could run those traps on 92 pump, so I would say it is effective.

It seems like the stuff works pretty well, but after doing research into octane boosters, there's no way that one quart of that stuff can raise your octane more than 1-2 octane. (and that's being generous)

And if you consider that it retails at around $14.99 for a quart and if you compare that to toluene (112 octane) or xylene (116 octane) (which are likely components in the Torco anyway) at retail of $6.60 a gallon or about 1/2 that outside CA, then it just makes sense to make your own octane booster. A little messier, but a lot cheaper and a lot more effective.

Even when we bought large quantities of the Torco we paid ~$5-$6 a quart. If you compare that to buying large quantities of xylene at ~$5 a gallon.
