hey.
my buddy recently got a jdm turbo mr2. the problem is, is that it doesnt reach full boost till about 5 grand. apparently its sapose to have full boost at about 3500-4000 rpm. it doesnt have a leak cuz the engine idles perfectly normal. no codes come on, and it doesnt have the same fule cut jerk as the supras do.... soooo doesn anyone know what we should look for?
i donno if this section was ok to post but this is the one i use 90% of the time. thanks for the help

Well i guess it should go in the other cars section on this forum, and there might be some forums around that have more mr2 knowledge then supraforums has, but then again

Anyway, what kind of turbo is on the engine ? If it's the standard mr2 CT26 (dual flapper wastegate instead of 7m ct26 single flapper wastegate) then i'd check up on the turbo first. Also check the exhaust manifold for leaks, cracks and most of all loose bolts. If the exhaust gasses don't get to the turbo... that turbo ain't doing jack shit
