I'm planning to remove the TRAC system on my 94 soon. But I had a number of questions. BLKMJK's site and the MKIV site have great information about removing the hardware (butterfly and pump).

I'm planning to remove the TRAC ECU as well, and I can't find much about that process. Is it as simple as unplugging the leads and removing the box? Is there more to it than this? If the ECU is pulled, are the resistors added to the TRAC pump connector still necessary? With the stock ECU, doesn't pulling the TRAC ECU sets off one of the warning lights? Is there a fix for this?

I have an EMS to put in the car eventually, but am just trying to get a number of items cleaned up before I do that instal/tune. Thanks for any information you can share on the topic-

Removing the TRAC ECU is as easy as unplugging and removing the box. Since resistors are cheap and the procedure is very easy, I'd suggest popping them in...
