has anyone ever heard of "tran star industries?" if so, would you recommend? i need this info cause i wanna rebuild my tranny and rear end. thanks guys. later

trans star....Good company for rebuilds..thats who we order everything from when we do our transmission rebuilds..and torque converters...and the basic filters and gaskets for when we do transmission servicing

Yes Transtar (thats how you really spell it) is a good company.
Trust me I know...
I sold their shyt for about 5+ years.
Great, cheap (in price not quality) automotive rebuild kits.
Dunno though if they sell to the public?
They also sell the stock replacement LUk clutches for all manual cars.
As for buying a rebuild kit for the R-154... I'm not too sure they actually sell a rebuild kit for manuals. They are primarily a company that makes rebuild kits for auto's.
If you talk to any Transtar, talk to the MAIN OFFICE in Akron Ohio.
