anyone experiance problems with their headunit when driving for a long time..

I know mine gets pretty hot and i belive its from heat coming up through the floor pan from my automatic tranny.. HU never had this problem untill i put it in my MKIII...

but it'll work fine when i jump in the car and go to work.. but right before i get to work the headunit will be pretty warm and it'll stop playing cd's but radio is fine...


guess another reason for me to get a 10 disk changer in the back huh?

Mine does the same thing, it will stop playing CD's but it will play everything else... I think its because of the CD getting too hot because my girlfriend always takes out the CD and hangs it out the window to cool it off and pops it right back in and it plays till it gets hot, or if she pops in another CD it will play fine until that one is out of the toaster as well. If you find a solution to that let me know! It bothers me.....

Well i'm going to try to put a computer fan or two on it to try to get a push/pull air flow going and see if it helps.. i'll keep ya posted
