Tranny Question

Just wondering, I Have an automatic tranny, when i put it in park the car still rolls an inch or two before the tranny catches it....Just wondering if this is a bad thing or what cause's this........I Would use my E-brake when i park to keep it from rolling...but, well, my E-brake isn't working, I Hope it just needs adjusting?

Whoops! I hit the wrong button and edited yer post but didnt edit it, lol.

Best to use the brake first then throw it in park.
How exactly does your e-brake act when you try to use it? Will it click all the way till the arm cant travel any farther?

Do a quick test by putting the car in neutral and using the e-brake... does the car move?

If so, you clearly need to adjust your ebrake.

theres no problem with the tranny, it usally takes a couple of seconds to engage. if u want to fix your p brake take the cover off in the interior where it lays an theres a set screw neer the base just ajust untill it feels that it is holding.
