Hey all,

Me and my dad droped the transmission out of my car and it took us forever to get the top bolt out from the starter On the bell housing. I am very scared that i will not be able to get the starter back on, is there an easier way that i can somehow access this god damed bolt. It says in my chilton manual i am supposed to take off the steering. people that have done this before, does this really give you much more clearance, cause i don't wanna have to do it if i don't have to, it sounds like a pain in the ass.
thanx!

I used a long extention (24") on my rachet, and with the two of us it wasn't too bad. Once I had the tranny back on, I lowered it with the motor (tilt it rather)for the extention to fit better. My dad was under the car turning the bolt while I held the nut on from the top. Actually I was lying on the motor... :)
