I just got my first supra A 1982 with 136,000 miles, but i'm still getting a feel for the clutch and shifter. I'm having trouble going from 1st to 2nd and i was wandering if this could be a mechanical problem of if im just a sucky driver. if its the latter could someone give me some advice, i've been trying to shift between 2700 and 3500 rpm.

I'd do the following if I were you:
1) replace the gear oil with Redline MT90
2) check the clutch fluid level
3) bleed the clutch

...then if you still have the same problem it's probably synchros.
