I didn't have any problems getting it onto the car. But it does hit the frame rail. And I changed the wg flange for a tail 40mm which does sit very close to the engine mount. I would also recommened shorter studs. The lower nuts are a pain in the ass to get on and on one or two runners the studs actually touch.
get a 2JZ block and raise the head 1 inch. You'll have clearance for a 38mm tial wastegate....(my setup) :biggrin:
All you really have to do is chop off the old flange, and weld a new one, angled more parallel to the firewall. Attach the flange in a manner that would make the wastegate gases exit more towards the back (with no w/g attached).
