K guys..I'm trying to get some nuts off of the bolts that connect the no2 turbo to the rest of the assembly.

http://www.mkiv.com/manual/manualtt/twin_turbo_replacement/ttr3.JPG

The bolts are the middle-most bolts, labeled 24 (250, 18).

They're that special star shape, much like a torx bolt. Anyhow, I got 4 of them off just fine with a 12 pt 12mm socket. The last two are on pretty tight and started to strip under my wrench, so I stopped. Any suggestions? I've been to 4 parts stores, none of which helped. I bought a torx set, but they're too shallow for the bolt to fit in. I'm guessing a special Toyota tool is needed. Any ideas?

Thanks

There is nothing special about them. Just use a high quality 14mm 6 point socket or box wrench. They are dimpled so it doesn't loosen with all the heat cycles and it makes them look different. If you already stripped them, apply some penetrant and walk away for a while. Take a 1/4 wide chisel and strike the nut on the flange on the side that would loosen it. That will break anything free.
