turbo going bad.... ????

welll well.. now I cant hit .8 bar at all.. the higest I hit is like .72 bar... the car seems to be running well... no weird noises...
how do I know any turbos are going bad???
and the "WOSSH" noise.. is it progressive or does it happen all at once...
