Does the turbo kit for the MKIV Supra end up having a lot of lag and how much horsepower does it add?

There are several turbo kits available, either through major Supra tuning shops such as Sound performance, Toyomoto, Powerhouse racing. Or a common cheaper kit is the F-max kit. All of these kits exceed 300 hp. and no one really knows how far an NA can be taken. probably an NA can handle high triple digit hp. done right. But since your in Indiana, I'd look into Sound performance in the Chicagoland area. good luck:)

Oh.......and generally the aftermarket turbos (singles) if not too big have a little less or very similar lag as with the stock twins.

That's good, I kept on worryin that there would be a lot of Turbo lag in that turbo kit. Would I have to get a new clutch with that horsepower increase (auto)

How long are these single turbo's supposed to last?
G
All of these kits are very high quality......not like alot of cheap honda kits that leave out components. All will pretty much come with everything you need to have a very reliable car, if done correctly. As long as you follow an intelligent maintenance schedule, and don't skim on important turbo options. Intercoolers, BOV's, etc. The stock NA tranny will hold up a while at horsepower levels of like 300, but most will recomend building the tranny abit. For normal driving it should be fine for a while (but who drives there Supra like a normal person?) :)

Ya, good point :)

How much money would it cost to rig the Tranny for the horsepower?
