Is this stuff suppose to work that well. I tried it last night and it seemed to brighten the car up quite a bit. The actual wax is black . Any other good experiences?

its a filler wax. all it is going to do is lay down a layer of fillers and make it seem like it is a lot "blacker" and shinier.. in reality you are changing the black of the car and once it starts to wear off, it will look just like before.

nothing beats a good 3 step and claybar. instead of using a black wax on a black car, spend a day doing everything right (like a mothers 3 step system). of wash, dewax, clay, wash, polish, glaze, sealant, wax. and you will have a car that will look better than that black wax stuff will do for you, and it will stay that way for much much longer when you care for it properly.

if you like the way it looks, go ahead and use it, but i personally don't like the colored waxes, they are a gimmick at best, and literally change the color of the car.

I've always used Zaino on black, always worked great
i did like zaino at first, but the mixing crap gets old, and it doesn't come off as easy as it should for being an expensive sealant, also been having trouble with dry times. basically its a pain to remove if its not perfectly dry and even when it is a warm 75-78 outside, not much humidity at all. it took almost 1.5 hours for the 1 thin coat to finally be dry enough to remove without having to use a spray detailer on.

zaino is great but it feels like too much hassle for the price anymore to me when there are lots of other great quality sealants around.

If you have a dark colored car you need to try blackfire wet diamond sealant. http://www.detailedimage.com/Blackfire-M32/Wet-Diamond-P205/16-oz-S1/

Super easy to use, nice slick finish, good durability, really glosses up the paint, min filling (most anything will fill if you have marring on the finish)......

My clients really like it.

Cheers,
GREG

i used the entire "black box" system which is what you are talking about..like everyone said it is just a filler..
It did make my car look deep and black with no swirl marks or anything..only problem is it isnt very durable so i notice it doesnt last through too many washes...
the pic in my sig was taken about a week after i did the black box system...i did get alot of compliments...
My car is always in the garage and i barely ever drive it so it doesnt ever get that dirty...i wouldnt use this on a car that is driven more or even one that sits outside...

Turtle wax is overrated.
By comparison, CarGuys liquid wax is super effective and it gives my car a dazzling crystal clear reflection for several months.

Its polymer additives penetrate to the micro level of your car’s finish forcing a sleek, deep and long lasting protection and shine.
Whatever options you have at hand, the best wax for black cars with scratches should last at least a month. Unlike substandard polishes and waxes that go for a few days, CarGuys is made of nano polymer additives that penetrate for long such that you only need to wax your car once or twice annually.
As seen in forums, several users have loved its ease of use and performance is guaranteed.
