Folks -
I presume that most know about the road racing.. ahem.. Driver Education event during TX2k4. This year, instead of the Blimp Base, it will be at TWS.

At last, the road racing event will be at a shit-for-real road course. After having the chance to be with several Supras in the road course at Road Atlanta, I am hoping that there will be a big turnout to make it worthwhile to keep doing it. It is cheap compared to other courses I've been to, and surely will be fun.

I will send my registration close to the deadline (Jan 15), but as long as I have a car that runs, I am going..

Who else is in?

Rich, thanks for the post... We have only 10 cars signed up so far (supras). I'm worried that we're gonna have a Supra Nationals with a lack of Supras. LOL
I don't think ppl realize how great TWS is and how much fun they are going to have if they sign up. Keep in mind guys/gals, you WILL have an instructor in your car if you so wish, take advantage of this great opportunity while you can!!!!! It's ONLY $150.

I wished I could come out to TWS for the event. I just don't know at this stage if I can. I would love to be around all the supras even if my is the slow ass one engine wise. I will just have to see. Hope it goes well though. I don't even want to know how far it is mapquest wise. Maybe not too bad. I would want someone to give me the line braking, turn in, etc. Somebody got track notes on TWS?

turbo - we have ppl bring their cars from Oregon, CA, FL, NY, etc... If you really want to come, just do it!

I've got 5 or 6 video's from an e36 bmw m3 who ran 1:57 -58's w/ 215rwhp at TWS. pm me your addy and I can send them to you.

HEre is a link that will help some.. It may not have the braking points and such, but it certainly gives some pretty good pointers regarding reference points for turn-in and track out.

I hope I can arrange my schedule so I can go.
It was no small feat to get to Road Atlanta this year (about 460 miles).
It's about 400 miles to Houston from here. For Barry , it's about 670 miles from Birmingham - no trivial drive.

Hope to get there this year.

Those were nice track notes on the link!! It has the kind of detail I like to have to memorize a track before running it. It sure helps.

Yea, that link to the track notes it nice, you "learn" the track before even hitting the tarmac! I'm getting excited about the road racing, it's gonna be GREAT.

Guys, TWS is supposedly bad ass and a very fast track. I have been on Texas Motorsport Ranch near ft. worth and had a blast, and all the other drivers out there said TWS is even better. I will deff. be out their for tx2k4. Here is a link to a website that has the layout of the track as well as incar videos. Enjoy:

P.S. I have dont the above program and it is incredible if you are just beginning for track racing or are already an expert and want some inexpensive track time.
