Ignore the layers of dust as it's been in the garage for a while and normally you can eat off the engine in this thing. More photos once it's all back together and I get a chance to clean it. I've got most of what I was working on done.

I put in a 200 amp alternator as well as a 4 gauge alternator/power wire I made. I also swapped out the Saab intercooler for an aftermarket piece that's 3" thick and will support plenty of airflow. I also added a Perma-cool tranny cooler behind the front mount with a SPAL 9" fan in between them. I had to redo the plumbing to match up as the intercooler has different inlets and outlets but it matches up well now. I also added a GReddy Type R BOV to the mix to prolong the life of the turbo. In the second photo you can see the GReddy BOV attached to the black intercooler pipe right by the exhaust cross-over pipe as well as the aftermarket cooler I added for the power steering pump. I hope to have it back together and on the street again tomorrow. I have a few other things that I need to install yet (Big brakes for the front, Autometer tranny temp gauge & a remote tranny filter kit) and should have it all done soon. Here's the photos:

Well, waddya think? Thoughts? Comments?

there's no turbo...
Yes, there is. Why else would I need a front mount intercooler, BOV, methanol injection, or intercooler pipes?

Do you know what a Typhoon is or did you just not read the thread or look at the photos?

doesn't it go right here....?

...or am i just a dumbass?

i know what a typhoon is but i've never seen under the hood of one. plus i'm a dumbass.
Haha... I wouldn't say you're a dumbass. That's a flange that was welded on by the former owner. Not sure if there was something there or what but it's closed off for now.

If you refer back to the first picture and look where the intake goes down into that 90 degree bend coupler, that's the inlet to the T3/T4 hybrid turbo. It's clocked so that the pressure side goes under the battery, into the intercooler on the passenger side, out the driver's side and then under (where you see the BOV and right past that flange you circled in the second photo) the intercooler back to the centerline of the truck where it goes straight up and into the throttle body elbow.

That should help you see where it's all going down.

oh ok now i see. okay another question: you use a lot of terminology in your post such as "intake", "90 degree bend coupler", "inlet", "battery", "intercooler", "BOV", and "flange" - what are all these? :)

weird about the flange though. thought it was just a heat-wrapped manifold of some sort.

I'm a whore for Ty's and I woulda had one for 2 years but the damn mail man who was selling it to me put in some plain jane GM tranny and fucked up the install, and the brakes were GONE. God I still get sad when I see them...you're a lucky man, be good to it please.

I haven't settled on a goal yet. Depends on if I keep the existing turbo and cam or if I go with a T72. We'll see. For now, it meets my goal of being fun to drive.

Thought I would add a photo of it after I cleaned it up a little. It wasn't running that well this last weekend and I think it was upset that I posted that photo of her w/o make-up. :D

...and one of the intercooler and tranny cooler/fan installed behind the grill. Took over 5hrs with a Dremel to get it to clear the intercooler.
