Are you running a thermostat?

 

brand new thermostate, rebuilt motor, had machine shop check head and block so pretty sure no cracks, metal head gasket, new fan clutch, 2 puller aux fans (stock) and 1 pusher fan (stock), all fans work and kick on, overheats when i haul ass then get stuck in traffic, the water pump was inspected and looked good, doesnt leak any. water gets so hot itll boil over, so im thinking radiator, and already checked its not a blown headgasket

 

Used Fluidyne is a good buy too

 

not really looking to buy used parts, and fluidyne i think was in the upper 400 or 500 range. out of my price

 

Stay away from Mishimoto's garbage radiators. I can barely close my hood on mine and they have welded bosses that do not seat your stock shroud anywhere close to flush.

 

I agree. The left hand side of the hood can't close properly. You can see the indent in the hood lining from where the radiator squashes into it.

im rocking a cx racing radiator, no complaints other than having to move 1 mounting tab over an inch...

 

OP keep your 300 and save another 100 dollars to get a koyo. Cooling on the 7m is one of the major weak spots. Do it right the first time, and never look back.

 

so everyone saying to get a koyo pretty much then??? to be honest i dont even know if i wanta drop $400 into just a radiator im thinking about selling the car within the next 2 months and just move on to other things, so if i was gonna keep it forever id have no problem but i feel like ima drop more money into ima lose when/if i sell the car.

anyone have any comments on the cx racing one? its a 2 row isnt stock supra radiator a 1 so it should be alot better or not much noticeable??

I have the cx racing one with 2 slim fans. Never had a problem.

 

I've seen 2 koyos in person and wasn't impressed with weld quality... thats just me

 

im running one of these (fan shroud hooks up to it as if it was oem toyota) but it seems you are looking for a larger aluminum radiator

i originally got one of the jvt radiators and the fitment was bad with the shroud and it made the aux fans touch the ac compressor so i sent it back

 

ya looking for something 2 core or so for better cooling

Yea dude koyo or u wana cheap it a lil bit then go cx racing there not as good as a koyo but they work better than the misi's and the 2 row. I have them on my 240sx's and one on my 7m with stock fan and it works great
