I was just thinking about ways to do a turbo upgrade....and I was wondering if it would be feasible to upgrade the SECOND turbo.

As I understand it, at a certain RPM small amounts of exhaust gas enters the second turbo, which is held back until the boost in the second turbo equals that of the first...then all of a sudden the boost is released into the engine and from that point on both turbo's are fed equally. Would it be possible to have a bigger second turbo, and after it reachs equal boost, have it designed so that from the moment that the second turbo starts boosting, more exhaust gas is passed to it instead of the 50:50 ratio on the standard turbo ? This way you could keep your low down torque, but increase the top end.

I dont know how feasible this would be ...if its a stupid idea, than just tell me so.

Cheers

You can't do it... The bigger Turbo will try and blow into the smaller one, period.
