MKIV_Aspirant said:There was a guy making them under the name InV1simirror at an NSX site, but he quit making them. This was a BMW link.
It appears the site I linked sells them still. The one who quit was at this site: http://www.apexcone.com/Radar/RadarLove.htmlMKIV Surfer said:Does this site still make them?? If so, I'll contact them to see if they can do a group buy on these things.
Edit: I have found one for $200, of course it does not include the V1, but just the Mirror. But so far the only ones I have found are for BMW's. I contacted them to see if they'll make some for the MKIV Supra, if we have a group buy.

It doesn't load now and I checked the home page w/o success. Really, you could almost make your own. You just need to disassemble the mirror and grind away the portion to view hte arrows, etc. The remote V1 device (sold at V1's web site) is placed inside the mirror and it's re-closed. The phone cord comes out of the headliner and plugs into the back of the mirror.
The ones I have seen lately show the part of the mirror grinded away even when the detector is off. The guy at apexcone had it so the mirror was two-way there and with the V1 turned off, it looked like a normal mirror.
I do like the remote switch on the beast site and it would go nicely next to my traction control button (so cops in VA wouldn't see me reach up to turn it off).
One possible problem is how thin our MkIV mirrors are. I don't know if they are thick enough to hold the remote inside.
Is this the one you found for $200? http://www.ecisbmw.com/product_files/accessories/V1 Display.htm
Im working on if we can make it fit asap, lots of m3 here where I live!!!MKIV Surfer said:Yes, that is the one I found for $200. I got the following e-mail sent to me from a different company. Tell me your thoughts:
Group buy would have to be 10 units or more and the lowest price we'd do is
$340 on 10 of them.
If they are non-auto-dimming, and you guys want to do the mirrors that look
like our M3 E36 mirrors, we can get those to you in 2 weeks max.
I don't know what the M3 E36 mirrors look like. Would they go on our cars? Does anybody have any pics of the mirror? What do you guys think?
