‘94 6-speed.

Replaced the fluid in the v160 over the weekend with Royal Purple Synchromax. The fill plug got a little rounded off getting it loose. It isn’t bad, but I’d like to replace it. I can’t seem to find one anywhere in my Google fu. Part number 90080-34012 I think.

Any suggestions?

Looks like they're discontinued, no surprise there. If you can just find the thread pitch of the plug, any other plug or even stubby bolt with an 0-ring would work.

Knowing Toyota, it is a shared part across many platforms, and you may find its the same as a gearbox drain plug too.

I would take your one with you to a wreckers (Bone Yard) and compare to other Toyotas

You would probably be better off looking for a BMW drain plug. Toyota didn't manufacture the v160 and I doubt many other toyotas have getrag transmissions. However, I think there are multiple bmw's with getrag transmissions.

Good call. I found a plug for a BMW that looks the same. I ordered it. If it’s a match, I’ll follow up here for others.

May be this... states an m24 x 1.5 external hex. Looks to have a magnet as well.

Been using the bmw shift seal on the mkiv for years....so nothing new there
