I am swapping to the gte valve covers that I picked up and when I got to tighten the bolts on the inside (side by the coils) it seems they are too long..

Is this possible? These are the bolts I took off of the ge covers that were on there. Am I missing something? It seems they are about 3-4mm too long.

I hope I am just tired and not paying close enough attention, lol.

Thanks!

The length of some of the bolts is different, so you need to buy some shorter bolts.

I had to do this when I went to GTE cam covers. About 4-6 were too long from memory.

Also, its very important is to have new/good condition washers and torque correctly to avoid leaks.

Any chance you know the thread pitch of the bolts? I can always just take one with me to match..

The vc gaskets and all hardware are brand new since this is a newly built engine. It hasn't even been turned over yet.

Sorry not off the top of my head. I just took in the bolts and bought some black allen head bolts which look far nicer :)

I am just gonna throw this out there
But nearly every bolt on the supra is either:
A. m6x1.0
B. m8x1.25

Its one of those I am nearly 100% sure

For the minimal cost of a set, I just ordered them, but thanks!
