Wasnt there a certain year or aftermarket seal that fixed the problem the older ones had? The searches I pulled up just most people replaced it with factory ones.

HarrisRacing used viton aftermarket seals, if they have any advantage over stock, it will only be that they won't need reaplcement ever 120k, and that they are cheaper. he's put like 5-10k on his engine with the aftermarket seals I think with no problems. pretty much everyone just uses the oem ones because they are tried and true and 120k miles of service is not too bad. look for a post that he started and decide for yourself

I think makaveli200369 might be thinking about the Crank seal, not the valve seals.

There are a few threads that go into detail on a crank seal you can get from most autoparts stores that is better and gets rid of some issues some BPU and + cars have had with the stock seals.
