I recently bought a new temp sensor (thanks, horsepowerfreaks.com!) for my VPC and now I am wondering whether to reinstall it in the same "gas filter" location (see mkiv.com install notes), or go with the intercooler pipe. prior to the throttle body.

With the recent discussion about heat soaking and fabricating a plastic mount, I thought why not just put it where heat soaking would not be a problem. Grant it I have to drill and tap but that is no big deal.Besides, aren't you removing the PVC valve to install it according to the directions on mkiv.com. And won't that impact emissions.

For the record I've passed emissions twice here in MD with the temp sensor in the "gas filter" location so I'm not sure how if at all the temp sensors location impacts it.
