A VPC can be used with any car provided you have the correct PROM and ECU harness or know how to hardwire it. The head unit, sensors, and sensor harness are all universal.

I understand that you need the right chip like for me i need the 550 automatic, but my friend has one off a nissan, i would assume the control unit is the same, i would just need to buy the chip??

thats what i thought but it good to hear someone else say that before i drop the big bucks 
Well I sold a VPC from a 3000GT to my Friend with a Supra and it works fine. All he had to do was to change out the chip in the VPC for stock in the Supra and thats it.
