My friend was telling me that the later years 1j's that had vvti were single turbo mobbing a ct26, can anyone confirm this, and secondly, will that manifold bolt up to the the TT head? If so I can try to source out a few of these manifolds in Japan next month-they would make turbo upgrades simple for the 1j.

The last thing that i remember reading about the vvti 1jz was that the front of the engine is a little bit longer, because of the vvti and since it used the ct26 it made more torque...
If i remember right

I believe that the single turbo manifold would bolt on the TT, but I'm not sure...

But the 1JZ did come with a CT-26 on the vvt-i version airbats. I don't understand your statement. To the rest of you, is it possible to find the manifold for a 1JZ vvt-i and mount it on a regular 1JZ and put on an upgraded CT-26 for more power versus the stock ct-12's on the 1jz that are ceramic? Thanks.

can you read? its a friggan ct15b..

Show me a stock ct26 1jz vvti, and you will see skylines imported into the country for 10k.

If you would have looked at the links of that bone stock engine, it lists the turbo as a ct15b NOT A F'n ct26..

Even if they are similar, the turbo is called a CT !5 B

As far as I remember, the heads are different. By different, I mean that the port sizes and spacings are different so you can't just bolt one up.

I have heard everyone said it's a CT-26, also, called my friend in Japan who has raced in JGTC and owns his local shop and the CT-26 was found on the VVT-i spec 1JZ. They may have came with the CT-15B. But in any case, give me a day to get the proof for you, because you seem to think your the shit airbats, when this is a discussion board, just to discuss and browse ideas and your taking it too seriously.
