Got a quick couple of questions

1. is there a higher rated water pump out there for the 7mgte or is the stock one sufficient.

2. Is it safe to use a higher pressure rated rad cap (blitz)? What i have read from Reg is that only the factory one should be used.

3. does many people run additives to there cooling system (redline water wetter)?

Stock is .9 bar or 13psi. Ive heard that running it higher than stock can cause problems like blowing hoses and such. Although, 14 isnt too much higher, you should be OK.

All a high pressure cap is going to do for you is raise the boiling point of your coolant, but you shouldn't be running that high of a temperature also. It puts extra strain on old rubber hoses, but if you have hoses in good shape you can run a high pressure cap. Just for S&G I put a 18psi cap on my car for a few weeks, didn't notice any change in temperature, EGT's, or anything. I went back to the stock pressure cap.
