Recently, I took about the gauge cluster to swap out the faces. It went back together fine. However, I am having an issue with the temp gauge. It's pegging with the ignition on. I went through these checks.
1. Resistance values on the back on the gauge between the three screws are all within spec.
2. The ground pin on the chassis connecter is good as I'm getting resistance between that pin and the chassis.
3. It's receiving the right voltage.
4. The signal pin on the chassis connector is 1.4k ohms when cold.
5. It pegs with the water temp sender disconnected.
Not sure what to do next. Trying to avoid disassembly, but I'm thinking I flipped something on re-assembly. Not sure if that's even possible though.
