I've heard RPS Stage 3 rules. I'm going through the whole clutch investigation too. :) I'm probably going to go through this one.
Ya Nero, my friend has that one. Sounds like a Tractor! LOL Here comes John Deer! :D

But with his homemade borla exhaust it pretty much drowns all that out lol.

His has held up really well and he says its the best clutch!

I would not get this clutch if you intend to Drag race'/launch hard. Mine held up maybe 20 passes. I would recommend the WOTM Disc ,stock flywheel and RPS pressure plate. I'm actually using a Kevlar Disc ,stock flywheel, and rps pressure plate. So far it has been awesome!

Matt
The thing about the WOTM clutch that has me worried is the Stock Flywheel.

The stock flywheel is one of the reasons. It uses rubber on the flywheel. Thats what gives and tears over time. Im not sure how long they last, but I assume with more power, the shorter amount of time the stock flywheel will last.

Anyone else shed some more light on this?

The WOTM setup is awesome, no doubt. But the reason the disc didn't hold up is b\c you glazed it. Not everyone is an avid 1320 racer who's trying to cut 1.6 60' times. The WOTM clutch is not for everyone. Again, its an awesome clutch, that's why we made a deal with WOTM to stock it here and be the only other place you can buy it, and I've sold a lot of them and will continue to stock it & support it.

I just have gotten this recent influx of calls where everyone seems to think that this clutch is for everyone, and that's not true.

Dusty
Dusty,

What are you downsides to this clutch?

I said if you Like to Drag race...I agree if your not going to drag race the RPS clutches will hold bpu power. Even stock disc, flywheel and upgraded pressure plate would be a good choice.

Did you find anything out about that rolbar?:)

Thanks Matt
I have had an RPS stage 3 clutch in my car now for about 9 months...has not given me a single problem and I know that I have had more than 40 or 50 passes on the track and then I don't know how many passes on the street racing scene...the car has put down 550rwhp on the dyno with the 100 shot of nitrous quite a while ago. I do low 1.6 60' times at the track with mine all day long...I don't run back to back runs though so maybe that is why mine is lasting so long.
So the RPS Stage 3 Sprung is a good choice for Street and track use? I probably wouldnt see much of the track. MY friend has this on his small single. Its held up great.

WOTM to much for street use or no?

Casey
i know this an old ass thread, but i made a new one and havent gotten any replies...i need a good clutch kit for bpu+..i drive it on the street and i dont subject my car to the horrid abuse at the drag strip...sometimes on the road course tho...

i dont want one that makes noise....(i will just keep my stock rattling flywheel then) i dont even have to go lightweight on the flywheel at all and stock would probably be good, but i am wondering if there are any new kits out there or suggestions for me....
otherwise i am about to go with a brand new stock clutch and flywheel...i dont need to be dealing with crankwalk etc etc...

please let me know..

thanks
Anthony
