was looking at the aftermarket intake manifolds and the prices. i have heard you guys say that most of the stock components are good to make lots of power, but a little tweeks here and there are always good, right? could the stock manifold be honed or milled to make a difference? if so, is it something i could do using an gasket and a dremel, or would it need to be, extrude honed,<~~is that right? want it to look mainly stock, minus the turbo.

what are some of the cheap, inexpensive tricks for these cars?

About all you can do is minimal. It isnt the total bottleneck to the system. As it stands stock, it outflows the stock turbos by about 10cfm. Best to do is to port match it to a Stage 1 head. All this will only give you top end.

Most tuners used to cut the top off, and remove EGR galley, and then they clean up the inside, and when welding the top back on they raise it to increase volume.

removing the traction control sysytem will help flow more air without having the butterfly assembly in place anymore
