Well if you read my last post, you know my Supra's water pump is broken and need hundreds of dollars to repair it. I am wondering what could cause it to gone bad? Will high boost causing the problem or bad radiator?

They wear out.

Using the wrong coolant (silicates) or never changing the correct coolant might accelerate wear.

I just noticed today that I have a slight antifreeze leak coming from the waterpump. I suspect the seal is going bad and am going to replace it. After reviewing the Toyota manual it says I have to remove the the #3 timing belt cover, crankshalft pulley and timing belt. Can someone who has done this before tell me if all that is really necessary or can I get by without removing the timing belt?

thanks
