Anybody know what brand of material this is? I want to do the dash in the car before the summer.

Looks like brushed aluminum, but not sure what brand--doesn't look like Torasport... almost looks molded rather than a flat kit...look at the bezels...

Anybody got any opinions on best brushed aluminum kits other than Torasport, or stick with them alone?

IMHO,

It looks like the vinyl graphics tape they put on our Golf Tour van.
Or a heat applied vinyl. Definately not painted that way nor a dash kit.
3M or Avery may make it. Possibly Rvinyl? :dunno: http://www.rvinyl.com/

Just my .02

That is a overlay that is done inhouse on your stock pieces. Contact leatherseats.com or turbohoses.com they both do it.

THANKS GUYS! Almost positive that driving image is the place that had the exact same pattern I want!! When it gets done in the next month or so, I'll be sure to post pics, along with the rest of the install!!

LOL!

A sticker is an overlay, thats is not an overlay!! It was completely painted. The carbon fiber dash kits with double sided 3M tape are overlays.

It's not cheap, I think you could get a Supra dash done for around $100-150. Any color/pattern you want, and it retains stock fitment! Phoenix-Imaging is a good one to try :)

Thanks Zylo,

Got a number or website?
Can't hurt to have a few more options.

Called Zylo's site, and got some info...

1) dash pieces are dipped into solution that adheres to OEM panels
2) dash is clearcoated for durability
3) since dash is clearcoated, can apply wax I guess, like outside of car
4) lifetime warranty against peel and manufacturer defects
5) turn around time would be a few weeks
6) cost = approx. $500 for all interior dash panels, window trim, etc

Here's their website:

www.phoenix-image.com

Does this seem reasonable? Overlays run $130-300 and you risk peel inlong run...
Compared to $1000 carbon fiber thread seems like a bargain...and I just LOVE that particular brushed aluminum look, especially with those gauges...

Counselo1 - WOW!!!

That website is nice and the pictures are nice to boot.
Definately worth a few pieces to be sent off to try it out.
I'm in. :bigthumb:

Thanks for the footwork,
