I just bought a G-force ECU and I am wondering if I should install it at the tuner shop because the fuel maps have changed or is it safe to run out of the box. Sorry for the easy question but I just want to be safe.

It's safe to run out of the box Eric. If your car has a vpc than you wont be relying on the ecu fuel maps. I believe that the revised fuel and timing maps are made to accomadate a single turbo. A single may be still spooling up where the stock twins are already boosting. So the fuel is trimmed to promote better spoolup via a leaner a/f ratio in a certain rpm range for more exhaust flow. Also the timing is advanced where a single is still spooling and more timing is removed when the single is at full boost.

where did you buy your G-force ECU upgrade?
I've been looking all over the place and couldnt find it. G-Force is actually closed for business and Techtom is taking over?

BTW how much did you get it for?

thanx!
