In the second picture, I BELIEVE that's the VPC (correct me if I'm wrong), and yes. There should be a vacuum line there. Refer to your Vacuum diagram under your hood to find out where to route it.
As far as those chopped wires go... All you really need is someone with an unmolested 7MGE to compare it to.

Hahaha. VSV! That's what it's called! Vacuum Switching Valve. I was brain farting for a bit there.

On your VSV pull off the connector and see what color the wires are, if they are the same color as the cut wires, well then theres your problem.

the vsv should have a small filter on the end of it

as for the wiring, cant help you, im turbo.
Edit: i actually just looked at the 2 and there different. im asuming mines setup correctly since im having no issues. no garentees though lol. also seems like the filters in the correct spot on mine when it comes to size, its not in my hands but it looks like that filter wouldnt fit on the open side of yours.

^yup! the circled part should have a vac hose and the very left should have the filter on it.
lame. looks like im getting a new vsv lol... that would explain the check engine light on1 - 15 of 15 Posts
