What is wrong with my alignment?

I got my car aligned at Winston Tires and already had to take it back there under warrany twice because my steering wheel keeps tilting to the left. It stays straight for about 2 weeks then little by little it tilts left. Why does it do this?

Chris,

Well, it sounds as if something in the from wheels area is not tightened properly.
If you happen to be visiting Hwd area then I can recommend that you pay Harry's Automotive a visit. This guy has Eagle eyes and he really notices EVERYTHING under your car.
Don't know if he will charge you for consultation.
Here's the contact info:
Harry's Automotive
1154 La Brea Ave
HWD 90038
It's @ intersctn of LaBrea & Lexington (1 blk north of Sta Monica Bl). Don't have his phone # handy.

Good luck,

Chris,

Found some more info which is likely relevant to your situation.

The following is the last paragraph from article on self-job wheel alignment; see link below:

"When done make sure you torque down the eccentric cam
adjuster bolts to spec. If you don’t you run a real risk of your carefully hand done alignment gradually moving out of alignment!"

You may wana read the whole article:

Make SURE the guy doing the alignment uses a torque wrench on the ajustment cams. 166 ft-lbs in front and 136 in the rear. That could be your problem, I had the same thing happen to me.
Grant,

Does the problem rise only from UNDER torquing or can over torquing cause the same?
