Hey guys,

Just wondering if any tunnel modifications are required to instal a th400 with a Chevy bell on it. Going to use a Titan bell adapter.

Can anyone shine some light on this who has done the swap before.

I am interested in this as well.

Which one is less intrusive Auto -> TH400 or 6 Spd -> th400?

With a Chevy Bell you are going to have to do alot of beating on the tunnel. You can get an ultrabell to lessen it but you will still have to clearance.

You're not going to find much information in this section about TH400 clearance work. I would PM Craig Bush, Junkie414 and Geo2JZ, all of whom, I believe, have done this. I would also check the dyno section for TH400 cars and PM the owners about this topic as well. Good luck.

Ken.

^What Mr. Henderson said.

I'm running a 400, but with a J3 bell housing and ATF Speed adapter. No clearance issues what so ever. Getting the rear mount to bolt up to the mount adapter was a tight fit, but other then that it was pretty simple.

Yeah I'm thinking of using a 2jz bell modified to suit a TH400. Seems allot easier.

The Chevy bell is HUGE !!!
